Bukit Timah, Landed, Singapore
Situated in a secluded cul-de-sac in the fashionable area of Bukit Timah in Singapore, this private family residence is a beautiful and understated piece of bespoke and holistic architectural design. The modest entrance façade gently invites you through into a stunning pool area which reveals the U-shaped plan of the building. This form allows for seclusion as well as views of the pool area from virtually every room in the house as well as fantastic ventilation through full-height sliding louvre and glass doors. This is helped by the orientation of the residence to make full use of the prevailing day and night breeze. The house has the luxury of space and high ceilings for the designer to showcase his skills on an extensive scale. As space was a constraint due to the nature of the site, our design team worked at filling the space with iconic visual elements that were large and yet unimposing, and with furniture that was comfortable and yet could stand on their own against a large area. From the large open window panels to designer furniture in every room, we created a home that was at once impressive and inviting.
